Most reporting time is spent copying numbers.
Pulling exports, pasting them into a template and writing the same three paragraphs every week is work a system does better. It never forgets a source, it compares every period the same way, and it does not get tired of explaining why CPC went up.
That frees your analysts and account leads for the part that needs judgment: deciding what to do about it.
How we build it
- Definitions. We agree on the KPIs, targets and questions each report has to answer, and who reads it.
- Connections. Read-only access to each source through official APIs or MCP servers, tested for accuracy against your current reports.
- Analysis layer. Queries that pull and compare the numbers, then a model that writes the commentary from those figures only.
- Delivery. Scheduled runs that post to Slack, send email or build a doc or deck, with a review step if you want one.
- Handover. Documentation and training, plus optional tuning as your channels and targets change.
Built on Claude and MCP.
We build most reporting systems on Claude, connected to data through the Model Context Protocol. We have written about the approach in our guides to the Google Search Console MCP server and using MCPs for SEO with Claude.
Questions, answered.
01 How is this different from Looker Studio or AgencyAnalytics?
Dashboards show numbers and leave the reading to you. A reporting system reads the numbers for you: it compares periods, spots what changed, checks likely causes across sources and writes the explanation. Many clients keep their dashboard and add the system on top.
02 Can it pull from our own data sources?
Yes. We connect through official APIs and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so the system can query Search Console, ad platforms, your CRM or a warehouse directly. If a source has an API, we can usually read it.
03 How do you stop it from making numbers up?
Numbers come from queries, never from the model. The model only writes commentary on figures the system already pulled, and every report links back to the source data. Anything outside expected ranges is flagged for a person to check.
04 Is our data secure?
We use read-only credentials with the smallest scope that works, and the system can run inside your own cloud account. We do not use your data to train models.
05 We are an agency. Can it report in our format for each client?
Yes. Each client gets its own targets, tone and template. The system drafts, an account lead reviews, and the report goes out under your brand.
